- Creation
- Richard’s role as a video blogger began in May of 2005 when he launched the Richard Show, a semi-weekly

Richard's most recent video blog projects are: Left in the Ozarks, A Brief History of the Video Blog and InspiredHealing.tv. As an IST Professor, he shares his passion for media creation in a Web and New Media Development course.

- Exploration
- Through his work as both an IST Professor and Video Blogger, Richard has developed a strong fascination with current trends in Web and New Media Technologies, within a psychological, social, and cultural context. He shares this fascination with his students in the form of a Web and New Media Studies course.
- Evaluation
- In his role as Professor of Information Science and Technology at Missouri S&T, Richard teaches a course in Human-Computer Interaction Evaluation. He is co-director of the Laboratory for Information Technology Evaluaton; and he has published numerous articles and received substantial external research funding for work that focuses on the evaluation of learning technologies.
