Very funny…I have the same problem, only I need a shovel to clean it up.

Daughtershow - 07/24/2006 10:46am

You have my deepest condolences…I got to move out when I got to a certain age. In my house my computer table stays as dirty as I want it to by gum! If I want my mouse sticky….my mouse shall be sticky!

missbhavens - 07/24/2006 2:11pm

Oooo…I’m guilty of not moving things to clean under them, too. But you know what I’m NOT guilty of?

Drinking coffee near my computer equipment!!! Eeeek!

Bev - 07/24/2006 6:09pm

Psst…Richard….. get a BLACK mouse cord. She’ll never know…..

Richard's Daughter's pagan friend - 07/24/2006 7:01pm

I like Bev’s idea…but take it one step further. Get a black CORDLESS mounse. Then no cord to get sticky gunkyness on. Oh…and a clean desk is a sign if a really sick mind *g*

I had a conversation like this once… Abe told me to remove the nature from my home. I didn’t understand and so he explained that when nature creeps in it distracts people from the beauty of the smooth surfaces of the things the craftsmen made. I thought about it for a while, then I went into the forest and collected tree sap and painted all of my possessions with it. I then went back and gathered dirt and moss and allowed it to stick to the sap. My brother happened to call my house the next day and when he saw the sandy walls and mossy chairs he simply stared in wonderment. I asked him if he was distracted with something.

LOL! This reminds me of my husband. I had to band him from drinking coffee around our computers. He would get coffee spots on the keyboard.

Taking … everything I … have … to not … laugh out loud … at work … help

Evan - 07/25/2006 5:58pm

Same dynamic here at the hopper video studios. But, hey, it is nice to work in a clean area now and then!!

I didn’t know where to leave this comment, so I’m leaving it here.

The missus and I recently purchased and recieved our RichardShow teeshirts in the mail. These shirts have really changed our lives. Since getting our shirt, riches have fallen on us – we have more than we know what to do with! We have also attained great peace and happiness – it is as if the rest of the world and its problems just fade away in a RichardShow teeshirt. I am getting up earlier, exercising more, and losing weight! And if I can say it without offending anyone, the missus looks mighty fine and shapely in just her RichardShow teeshirt!
I just can’t say enough good things about our experience with our Richardshow teeshirts. And they came in an attractive brown cardboard box via UPS, right to our front door! As soon as we’ve worn these ones out, we’ll be back for 2 more!

As Richard’s brother I can say he is a very clean person (compared to a sloth). I once helped him move and he had all his dishes under his sink on which the mold had died because they had been there dirty for so long. I will say nothing of the crate I wouldn’t even touch because of it’s contents.

richard - 08/08/2006 11:20am

First of all, I have no idea who this Andy person is, claiming to actually know me. Second, the dishes and mold incident was a scientific experiment i was conducting, and, in fact, demonstrated that one viable way of combatting mold is to wait it out.

Andy Hall - 08/14/2006 6:35am

Whatever!

Carl Weaver - 09/01/2006 9:46pm

That’s disgusting, Richard. People expect that of an artists and poets (filthy people that they are), but not of a university professor.

Here’s something to ponder: if you don’t clean it every week, will it somehow get clean anyway through someone else’s efforts?
