Left in the Ozarks

Left in the Ozarks is a web video project, focusing on progressive politics in the Missouri Ozarks, during the 2008 election. The videos focus, in particular, on the campaigns of two democratic candidates running in two of the most conservative areas in the United States. The candidates are Joe Allen, running for U.S. representative in Missouri's 8th district, and Wayne Bledsoe, running for Missouri state representative in the 149th district. The videos focus on regular people and their stories. Left in the Ozarks is a collaborative effort among Richard Hall, Maureen Hall, and the interesting people that make up the tale.

The series was created as a part of the citizen journalism project, theUptake
